In Pittsburgh, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Pennsylvania on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ9 pm. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, goldenpalacepittsburgh.com.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The service was amazing. We had a party of 6 and were the only ones there on a Saturday at 5 pm. The food was excellent. Multiple members of our party were placing new orders mid-meal after trying each otherβs food. We will be back!

I tried the buffet, and it was okay overall. The price matches the quality, everything is fairly average. They offer chicken, beef, and vegetables, and out of all the dishes, I liked the Tsao chicken the most. The soup was quite good, and the noodles were fine as well. The fried chicken was a bit dry during my visit.

Golden Palace is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in town. It serves delicious Cantonese dishes. The service is prompt, and the waitresses are so nice and kind. Highly Recommended: Salty Flowing Egg Yolk Bun, Steamed Fish (Bass), Char Siu (Roasted Pork), House Treasure (mixed vegetable and meat), Mushroom and Chicken Clay Pot Rice (the perfect mix of soft and crunchy rice with sweet and savouriness), Fried Pork Intestine (+ Spicy Fried Intestine with Preserved Vegetables), Peking Pork Loin (Sweet and Sour Pork), and the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles. I also love the Steamed Okra, and the Sufu Spinach. I have never been disappointed at Golden Palace, and I donβt think you will.

Surprisingly authentic and fresh Cantonese dishes. We tried the roasted duck, crab congee, and sticky rice chicken. I lived in Hong Kong for years and the roasted duck I had today was above average, the skin was very crispy. I didnβt expect to have this authentic Cantonese food here in Pittsburgh. Also, the dishes we ordered were all made with fresh ingredients. It is very difficult to cover the rotten tastes of ducks and crabs.

Update Nov 2024, more than 2 years after last post UPGRADE rating to 5βοΈ FOR CONSISTENTLY SUPERB CANTONESE DINNER SERVICE. *** This is a conclusion from several independent visits between myself and foodie friends. (Photos uploaded separately at the time of update). The lunch buffets on weekdays is NOT the measure of this place. ITS GEM IS THE UNDERSTATED CANTONESE A LA CARTE, best enjoyed at supper timeπ. Itβs truly superb, the flavors brings back fond memories of Hongkong, a culinary center known for myriad Cantonese foods, from the street stalls to takeaways to casual and fine dining. π€©π€©π€©π€©π€© THIS IS PITTSBURGHβS BEST PLACE FOR ROAST DUCK. In addition, the dumplings are reminiscent of traditional Cantonese DimSum. Indeed, while this not a DimSum eatery (unfortunately Pittsburgh DOES NOT YET have a true DimSum Restaurant), the dumplings are exceptionally Cantonese! Itβs a BYOB, so bring your favorite wine for dinner. Service is excellent. ***** SURPRISING AUTHENTIC CANTONESE, against the cheap Chinese-style greasy salty lunch buffet (corruption of Chinese cuisine). Please please forget that buffet. ORDER FROM THE MENU, and awaken your palate to the subtle flavors of t
